Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

This policy covers the VCare websites: vcare.sg, patients.vcare.sg and clinic.vcare.sg. It lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage they use, which is a short list, and explains the one optional cookie we ask about before setting. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

The short version#

  • By default, these websites set no cookies at all. You can read every page without anything being stored on your device beyond what your browser caches.
  • One optional cookie. If you accept analytics on the banner, Google Analytics sets its cookies so we can see which pages help clinics. It is off until you say yes.
  • No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no social-media buttons. Nothing here follows you to other sites.
  • Your choice is stored, not tracked. We remember your yes or no in your browser so we do not ask again, and you can change it from the footer at any time.

What cookies and similar storage are#

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser, sent back on later visits so the site can recognise the browser. Browsers also offer local storage, which works the same way except it is never sent to a server automatically. The PDPA treats data in either that can identify a person as personal data, and this policy treats both the same way.

Storage the sites need to work#

The websites use one item of local storage, and it exists only to honour your cookie choice:

NameWhat it doesKept for
vcare.site.consentRemembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner does not reappear on every page. Holds the word “granted” or “denied” and nothing else.Until you clear your browser storage or change your choice

This is set only after you make a choice on the banner. It identifies nobody, is never sent to us, and exists so that a “no” is remembered as faithfully as a “yes”.

Optional analytics (Google Analytics)#

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand which pages clinic owners read and where they stop, so we can improve the site. It runs only after you accept it on the consent banner. Until then, no Google script is loaded and no request is made to Google.

When you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies on the vcare.sg domain:

CookiePurposeExpires
_gaA random identifier that tells Google Analytics repeat visits from the same browser apart from new ones2 years
_ga_<id>Keeps the current browsing session together so page views in one visit are counted as one visit2 years

What we have configured, and what it means for you:

  • Advertising features are off. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled, and Consent Mode tells Google that advertising storage is denied even when analytics is allowed. We run no ads and build no advertising profiles.
  • No IP addresses are stored. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses the address only to derive a coarse location (country or city) and then discards it.
  • What Google receives: the pages you view, the site you came from, your browser and device type, screen size, language, coarse location, and the random cookie identifier. Nothing you type into a form is sent.
  • Overseas processing. Google processes this data on servers outside Singapore, including in the United States. This is the one case in which data from a VCare website leaves Singapore, and it happens only with your consent. Patient and account data in VCare itself never leaves Singapore (Privacy Policy, section 10).
  • Retention. Google keeps the event-level data for no longer than 14 months, after which only aggregated reports remain.
  • Google describes its own handling of this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics everywhere.

Your choice, and changing it#

The banner offers “No thanks” and “Allow analytics” with equal weight. Doing nothing means no: closing the page without choosing leaves analytics off. To change your answer later:

  • Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. (On this build, analytics is not configured, so there is no setting to change.)
  • Withdrawing consent stops further collection immediately and deletes the Google Analytics cookies on this domain from your browser.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The websites work fully with all cookies blocked.

Third parties on our pages#

We keep third-party code off the sites. For completeness:

  • Fonts are served from our own servers, not from Google Fonts, so loading a page sends nothing to a font provider.
  • No embedded videos, maps, chat widgets or social-media buttons. Links to WhatsApp and to Paarvion Innovation’s own site are ordinary links; nothing loads from those services until you click.
  • Google Analytics is the only third-party script, and only with your consent (section 4).

The patient app and the clinic dashboard#

The VCare patient app, the clinic dashboard at portal.vcare.sg and the waiting-room kiosk are signed-in tools, not websites you browse. They keep your sign-in session in browser storage that is essential to being signed in, and they use no analytics cookies. How data in those tools is handled is covered by the Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy#

If we add a cookie or a third-party service, we update this page first and, where it needs consent, ask for it before it is used. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
